Thursday, November 20th, 2008Bless you, sir. I can now open 1kb JPEGs in under 1 minute. (The short of it: if you have a slew of remote network printers mapped, Adobe Photoshop seems to want to query them all every time you open a file. Blow them all away and it will be good as new.)
